My initial appointment was at 3:30 but I arrived 2hrs earlier since I live far and so they moved my appointment to 2pm in which I got a notification that they moved it. How many hours have I been here ? 4hrs and I still haven’t gotten my extraction. And they close @5:30. I literally wasted so much time here. Probably make an appointment when they open asap or maybe bring a sleeping bag. Don’t expect to leave your appointment within 3hrs lol.

I must say first visit went great today no problems. Today was only the consult; we had an early appointment; I arrived early with my daughter who needs wisdom teeth extracted, gave them Xrays from referring pediatric dentist, along with insurance. We didn't have to wait that long there was only 1 person before us. They ended up needing to get more Xrays because thrnone I bought in wasn't visible enough. Heather is the best she gave us wonderful advice do the extraction after vacation because of swelling and discomfort she'll experience, Heather also mentioned with wisdom teeth extractions theres only certain foods you're allowed to eat without pulling the stitch; she stated enjoy your visit with Grandma, and take lots of pictures I want to see them when you come back. I return after vacation giving a review on how the extraction went, but so far so good. I brung my daughter back I thought was just a CT scan, and found out we're doing the extraction today. Heather and the Surgeon explained everything to me; I'm happy because they showed nothing but respect toward my daughter and me. They waited for me to pay my meter before they proceeded. I would definitely bring my 20 year old

I was referred to Dental Specialties by my dentist due to a fractured molar. The first time I went there, it was extremely crowded. After waiting for an extended period of time, I opted to rebook and return on a day when I could be the first patient. Upon returning, I was greeted by the staff and the doctor was extremely professional. During the next visit, the extraction was performed. I was offered a warm blanket when I asked if I could get my jacket that was hanging on the door. Dr. Choo ensured that I was comfortable throughout and at the end of the procedure, the dental assistant gently wiped my face with a warm cloth. I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge Aiesha and Norma. They were both positive, professional, and friendly on the phone and in person. I have interacted with Aiesha during subsequent visits and her goal was always to respond to any questions I had and address my needs in a timely manner. Finally, I did extensive research before the procedure and their rates are BEYOND reasonable. An office in Tribeca that was also listed as a participating provider quoted me a price of literally more than 7 TIMES what I will pay at Dental Specialties for an implant! The o

Today I had a very disappointing experience at Dental Specialties located at 301 E. Gun Hill Rd in the Bronx. I was referred there by my main dentist for a gum treatment consultation. I arrived before 1 PM for my appointment and ended up spending over 5 hours in the office for a consultation that lasted less than 10 minutes. After waiting about 2 hours, I was called in for additional X-rays even though I had already brought recent X-rays from my dentist. The dental assistant, Liana, who handled the X-rays, came across as very unwelcoming, rude, and unprofessional during the interaction. She then told me they were cleaning a room and that I would see the dentist in β€œ5 minutes.” Those 5 minutes turned into another 2-hour wait. Once I was finally placed in a room, I still had to wait an additional 30 minutes for Dr. Alan Pernikoff. The consultation itself was extremely short. I was told I needed a procedure costing around $10,000, which my insurance does not cover and is simply not affordable for me at this time. Overall, I feel like I wasted more than 5 hours there only to be charged through my insurance for another set of X-rays and a consultation that led nowhere financially re

They stated I would have to pay 500 before the consultation even happened, booked the wrong appointment for me and then denied services because I wouldn’t provide my social. Keep reading for more details. Genuinely cannot speak of the services because I didn’t make it past the front desk. I called to make an appointment of consultation (I already had the referral) the lady I spoke with on the phone, told me I’d have to pay at most $500 co-pay (I don’t have a co pay or deductible). I asked what the charge was for she said medications they would need to prescribe at the appointment (the names she stated were over the counter meds I could get at the pharmacy). Additionally, they didn’t even see me yet and didn’t have my insurance information to see if I would need to pay anything. Once I gave the insurance info, she called back 2 hours later to say I don’t have a co-pay but that at the consultation I would be told if I needed to pay out of pocket. When I showed up for the appointment front desk staff was very helpful and nice, they are paperless and I had issues with the forms β€œrequired” questions to move forward. Legally I’m not required to provide my social and I don’t have secondar
